Recent Work
I am currently focusing on ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem cells. Previously, I explored alternative heart failure therapies by vector-mediated transfer of genes involved in cell cycle control. I also studied megakaryocytopoiesis and the role of microtubule-regulatory protein stathmin in this process and analyzed the mechanism by which Panobinostat (LBH589), a histone deacetylase inhibitor, causes thrombocytopenia.
