Recent Work
Dr. Javeed’s formal training was at Mountclair State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Major in Biology and Minor in Chemistry, followed by Drexel University College of Medicine, earning her MD degree in May, 2011. She was an outstanding student with consistently strong and complimentary evaluations during her clinical clerkships, receiving a nearly perfect score on her performance in Family Medicine. She received a Drexel University College of Medicine Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship in 2008 and studied the expression of the retinoic acid receptor alpha in the olfactory bulb in schizophrenia. Her Internal Medicine training was at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson where in addition to her clinical training, she was actively involved in research, looking at vitamin D deficiency in women with goiters. This work was presented at the 95th annual meeting of The Endocrine Society in San Francisco. Her letters of recommendation upon application to our program were superb, described as bright, enthusiastic, dedicated to learning and patient care, a wonderful team player, kind, compassionate, having an exceptional bedside manner and exceeding every expectation. She was given their highest recommendation. Since joining our training program, it is clear she will become an outstanding clinical endocrinologist. She learns quickly, complete in her evaluation of patients, passionate about learning and has a delightful and warm personality. She prepared an abstract for presentation at the 2015 annual meeting of The Endocrine Society on composite pheochromocytomas and has published a review on this topic. We are very pleased to have worked with her and to have her as a Friedman Fellow.
Her current position is endocrinologist at Saint Vincent Medical Group in Worcester, MA.
