Recent Work
Jennifer Kelly is a PhD candidate at Tufts' Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in the Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition program. Her focus is on investigating the relationships among vitamin K, genetics, and lipids using quantitative methods of analyses.
Previously, Jennifer received a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and has a background in engineering, finance, and client services. During her time at Tufts, Jennifer has focused on coursework in preparation for research. Alongside, she has conducted several data-driven investigations of vitamin K. One project involved an investigation of relationships and generation of biologically sound hypotheses based on diet-disease links and inflammatory markers in humans using a set of data extracted from databases and peer-reviewed literature. Most recently she sought to determine factors influencing oral anticoagulant stability, including vitamin K status, ApoE genotype, and statin use in a study of patients initiating warfarin therapy.
