Marc Nene is a doctoral candidate in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Marc completed Medical training in his native Cote d’Ivoire, earned a Master’s in Health Economics at CERDI in France, and then spent eight years working on health policy issues at the World Bank and UNICEF. He joined the Tufts Friedman School in 2011 to complete doctoral research on the economic link between poverty, ill-health, and malnutrition in developing countries.
Marc is currently engaged in various projects at Tufts University and at the International Food Policy Research Institute, exploring the agriculture-nutrition linkages in Ghana and the nutritional composition of infant complementary foods manufactured and commercially marketed in developing countries.
