Dr. Koshy derives from our own Internal Medicine Residency program at Tufts Medical Center, and we are very pleased to have her as a Friedman Fellow. Her formal training was at Boston University where she received a BS in Human Physiology, Magna Cum Laude and was Vice President of the Sargent Honor Society. She was also involved in a variety of successful fundraisers including raising money for 80 individuals in third-world countries to receive cataract surgeries. Her medical school training was at Temple University School of Medicine where she maintained officer positions in various student groups including the American Medical Association-Temple Chapter, South Asian Health Student Association, and Internal Medicine Interest Group. It was felt by the Senior Associate Dean of Temple University that she would function as a superb Resident based on her performance there, and they were hoping to keep her at Temple. Fortunately she matched at Tufts Medical Center and as anticipated, was an excellent house officer in all respects. One of her strengths is her intellectual curiosity and eagerness to expand her knowledgebase. This has been quite apparent as as a Friedman Fellow, checking the literature on just about every aspect of patient care. She is meticulous with everything she does and much to the admiration of her colleagues, is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get the work done. She is also a delightful person, always smiling, even when faced with the most challenging of situations.
